MICROSOFT IGNITE: END-TO-END EVENT STRATEGY AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL MOBILIZATION
Project initiation and charter development · Work breakdown structure · Risk identification and contingency planning · RACI and stakeholder management · Cross-functional mobilization · Vendor and partner coordination · Real-time monitoring and corrective action · Lessons learned and knowledge transfer
Owned Miro’s Microsoft Ignite activation as DRI across three concurrent workstreams, then replanned in real time when a mid-program resource pull threatened delivery, advancing Miro’s position toward AI-powered innovation workspace embedded in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
The gap
Ignite was Miro’s chance to move the Microsoft narrative beyond integration awareness toward Copilot adoption and enterprise security positioning. Three concurrent workstreams, thought leadership, booth and demo strategy, cross-functional meeting coordination, had to run at once with a lean team, then mid-program AE capacity got pulled to Q4 closing, forcing a real-time replan without losing delivery.
What I built
- Wrote the event strategy and charter with partner and product stakeholders, scope, success metrics, RACI, before execution, with risks (AE availability, audience quality, lean-team complexity) built in from day one.
- Pivoted outreach from AE to CS mid-program when sales capacity disappeared, rapidly briefing the CS team and securing high-value meetings (Itau CTO visit, BCG, McKinsey, Dell) without disrupting quality.
- Managed the Microsoft partnership workstream: thought leadership session submission, an on-site film crew interview on Miro’s Purview integration, and secured an invitation to an exclusive Purview dinner hosted by a Microsoft CVP.
- Briefed the full booth team on the better-together narrative and built attendee tracking for systematic follow-up.
- Rebuilt the outreach strategy and communication sequences within a compressed window when the AE-to-CS pivot hit, keeping every other workstream on track.
Result
286 contacts, 112 MQLs, $1.75M accelerated pipeline, $495K influenced pipeline, one month post-event. Strong Enterprise Guard pipeline with BCG, Kyndryl, and others requesting trials. Miro featured in Microsoft’s official Copilot APIs session and developer blog. AI Playground demo emerged as the primary conversion driver, feeding directly into post-event follow-up.
